  Absolutely discusted with the service and the young receptionist Crystal who was INCREDIBLELY rude to me has Absolutely NOO idea about closing the Gap for Aboriginal people. I will NEVER EVER USE this surgery again. I suggest you all educate yourselves IMMEDIATELY.

  I asked for the first appointment of the day as the surgeries always run so far behind. I booked a 9 o clock appointment: was super disappointed to find that not one of the doctors could turn up to work on time for their 9am appointments. Surely the bare essential requirement for performing a responsible position is being able to get into work on time?
  Sadly my own work requires me to attend on time so I yet again had to cancel
  My appointment due to the wait time.

  I used to love coming to see Dr Charleson at One Health Care Woodside. However as her practice grew and became busier it became harder and harder to see her and she was always frazzled and worn out. I felt I should be taking her blood pressure. And then she decided not to bulk bill anymore and I had to pay $60 upfront and wait for a refund from Medicare.
  
  I'm on a Disability Pension I can't afford $60 every trip to a doctor. She must have realised that surely? So she lost quite a few patients who helped her get established.
  
  She didn't forward all my test results. From my Sleep Study and X Rays and CT scans. And only a one page statement of her care for me over the years.
  
  I have Bipolar Affected Mood Disorder. Since 1996 due to work place harrassment and bullying, I was also assaulted by my eldest brother when very young. So I have social phobia and chronic anxiety. This makes me very vulnerable and easy to manipulate .
  
  Still she took away my migraine meds, and osteoarthritis meds for my spine and hands and knees. Although there had been NO increase in dosage or usage in ten years, no addiction, she didn't like it. Too bad if it was doing some good.
  
  I think she did the wrong thing. NEGLIGENCE again. I cried for a week and didn't know what to do. The Cudlee Creek bushfires made us sell our home so I had to move doctors too. Still haven't found a good one.
  
  Dr Charleson forgot her DUTY OF CARE to a MENTALLY ill patient and only thought of her own hurt feelings. That is NEGLIGENCE. She left me without access to Bipolar and Diabetic medication. She did NOT forward all my history to the temporary doctor I found. I hope she now realises the MISTAKE she made. Yes I'm still alive but Beyond Blue counselled me quite often of an evening when the pain and depression was too great . I used to like her, thought she was dedicated but she only wanted money. Greed is a horrible trait in a person.
  
  Dr Charleson changed her name to fit into our society but she still carries those old traits with her.
  
  I'm still disappointed because she fooled me into thinking she knew what she was talking about. But I've since been diagnosed with an inflamed digestive system indicative of an auto immune disorder. And Gluten Intolerance and Coeliac Disease. I also have a burned Oesophagus and burned Larynx from the acid reflux not being treated appropriately. I'm also on Ventolin for my Asthma not just Symbicort and someone actually did a Spirometry test on me. The gastric acid has burned my Larynx and Oesophagus and Digestive system. I no longer have my normal voice but a husky squawk. I'm told it may never change. So I've seen a Gastroenterologist, an ENT is still to come. Plus I need two artificial knees. Yes I finally found an Orthopedist myself. As my ACL graft is full of osteoarthritis along with my spine and hands and knees and elbows. I have been sick now for a number of years I believe due to medical incompetence and NEGLIGENCE.
  
  You do NOT dump patients when they become too hard for you. You saw a Bipolar Affected Mood Disorder patient when she obviously was not well and instead of putting her in HOSPITAL, which is what should have been done, you kicked her out.
  
  SHAME ON YOU. YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO SET A GOOD EXAMPLE. BUT YOU DIDN'T.
  
  If that Bipolar Affected Mood Disorder patient had a breakdown and killed themselves, you would be held responsible and found guilty of MURDER. You could lose your licence for MALPRACTICE .
  
  You became like all the rest of today's money grabbing Doctors. GREEDY.
  
  Still haven't found a doctor but as I'm paying their wage it will be someone worth it. Stop bringing in foreign doctors. They don't assimilate, they are not familiar with the different services available and end up mishandling their patients.
  
  And at the end of the day the PATIENT has suffered, often at great expense to their health and longevity.

  I have ongoing chronic conditions treated by Dr Anita Charleson. I read through other peoples experiences detailed here and can only say that although I too have seen how Dr Anita has been more burdened under pressures of the last few years, she has consistently given 110% to my care and has been incredibly helpful in exhausting treatment and options over the last 4-5 years. I very much recognise and appreciate her as a lovely person as well as a knowledgeable and respected Doctor. With the burdens she carries I'm afraid to lose her - I've previously been 'dumped' by doctors who retire and have then had to go through the familiarisation process anew. Good doctors are hard to find, Dr Anita has been a very good Doctor for me. I have improved under her care. I will remain her patient as long as she remains in practise at Woodside, hopefully a long time yet.

  Really shocked. My partner rang to ask if she could change her appointment to a phone consultation, she has smashed her ankle up and can't walk. The receptionist said no, only elderly or people with covid can have phone appointments. She told my partner to get a lift or a taxi. We called a few taxi's and were told $80! Just to get in for a dr app that could have been done over the phone. The receptionists attitude when my partner pleaded for her to ask the Dr if they could make an exception was no - its policy. So unhelpful and uncommunity minded.
